This purple climbing bean is one of my favourite plants to grow - in fact, it readily self-sows in our garden so we hardly even have to try but often I do position the beans where we want them to grow.

It grows in a range of conditions and produces plenty of beans, which are best eaten younger before the pods swell too much.

Overall, our garden and homegrown food diet wouldn't be the same without them!
